For Sale By Owner

Staging

Every home will sell when it is priced right for the market, the condition and the location. With a staged home, you have the opportunity to ensure your home is priced at the top potential price.

Think about a dress in a store. If the dress is beautifully draped on a graceful mannequin, with lights shining down on glowing fabric, the mannequin's sleek form showing off the perfect dress design. that dress will sell for top dollar. But take that very same dress, wrinkled and a bit askew on a metal hanger, and you now have a discount in the making!

When buyers look at your house they will see, or at least feel, the flaws. Flaws equal discounts. A buyer looking at your house may not realize the paint is faded or the carpet needs to be cleaned, but the house will feel overpriced.

Let's think back to that dress. Why did you buy the dress on the mannequin? Because you needed a dress or because that beautifully displayed dress caught you right in the desire.

Stage Your House

By showcasing your home's best features, you create a series of great impressions that allow a buyer to connect emotionally while visualizing their life in your house. When a buyer can see themselves living in your house that is the first step to SOLD!

When you put your house up for sale it becomes a product. Just like other commodities, your house must be SEEN in order to SELL. To sell quickly, it must stand out from similar products in the marketplace. Pack, clean, paint and set the stage, make that house ready for the life of the buyer. Staging is a smart investment!

How to do this is simple hard work. Your goal is to make that house sparkling clean, maintenance perfect, spacious and desirable by packing up collections, excess furniture and family photos. Next, clean top to bottom. Paint everything that needs it, using warm colors. Rearrange furniture to offer spacious walkways and to focus on the views or other highlights.

When getting ready to sell your home, "create an image that will spur the imagination" by offering a visual "stage" where a home buyer can imagine their furniture, their family and their life.
